IRONBRIDGE TATTOO ARTIST
MATT HOYME
Thanks for checking out my work. I moved to Kaua’i from North Carolina in 2014, and have been tattooing since 2011. My tattooing is loosely based in American and Japanese traditional styles that reflect my personal creative outlook. I love tattooing in both color and black and grey, and enjoy incorporating fine line techniques into my designs occasionally. Whether it’s a small piece, or a large scale multi session tattoo, I take care to design each tattoo with care and the intention that it will look great for many years to come. I look forward to working with you.
KOBI YASUTAKE
Born and Raised on the beautiful island of Kauai, I'm lucky to be able to do what I love in a place I call home. For the past fourteen years, I have dedicated my career to the craft of tattooing, beginning my apprenticeship in Honolulu before returning home to co-found Ironbridge Tattoo. I love doing a mix of asian style tattoos mixed with botanical inspired imagery. Tattooing has allowed me to build lasting relationships within my community through a deeply personal and collaborative art form. My work is driven by a commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and creating tattoos that stand the test of time. Alongside tattooing, my passion for nature and conservation continues to inspire and expand my creative practice across other artistic mediums.
EVAN MCGUIGAN
I'm a tattooer and illustrator based on Kaua'i, Hawaii.
Originally from New York, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) before pursuing a career in tattooing.
During college, I was awarded a scholarship through the Society of Illustrators Student Competition, an experience that helped shape my approach to drawing, design, and craftsmanship.
I've been tattooing professionally since January 2009 and have been fortunate to receive recognition for my work at tattoo conventions throughout the years.
While tattooing is my primary focus, illustration and fine art continue to play an important role in my creative practice.
My work is influenced by a lifelong appreciation for drawing, traditional craftsmanship, nature, and timeless imagery. Whether creating a custom tattoo, an illustration, or a painting, I strive to make work that is thoughtfully designed, technically strong, and built to endure.
I moved to Kaua'i in 2017 and continue to draw inspiration from the island's landscapes, wildlife, and slower pace of life.
When I'm not tattooing, you'll usually find me painting, hiking, surfing, or enjoying all the things this beautiful island has to offer.
